To be able to judge the potential partnership with E-Care, knowing our capabilities is a prerequisite. For this a number of specific capabilities are listed under the headers Technical Operations, Facilities and Data Management Systems.

Technical Operations

Repair processes require sufficient volume to be conducted cost efficiently. Volumes can be measured in numbers of repairable items (high volume repair operation) or total amount of required capacity for a given product portfolio (job shop set up). For both type of operations we have long term experiences. To mention a few: mobile communication devices, data communication devices, surveillance systems, facility management systems, ATM repair and refurbish operations.

For all processes state of the art diagnostic tools, BGA (de)soldering equipment, functional test equipment and ultrasonic cleaning installations are available.

More and more contract partners require 'one stop shop' solutions for their after sales service channels. This has a large impact on the position of repair service companies as first tier partners, since beside the technical repair operations additional logistics and data management services have to be offered. E-Care has evolved to this higher level of service companies in the last few years. On one hand by setting up reverse logistics management systems ourselves and on the other hand by teaming up with preferred logistics service partners operating on a European (or even global) scale.

Facilities

Being active in the industrial electronics service market requires state of the art repair environments matching the requirements of the manufacturing operations the products originate from. All of E-Care's repair locations comply with highest ESD standards, are climate controlled, fully secured and have ample and adequate storage space.

Disposal of scrap units, components etc. is subcontracted to specialized companies and complies with local and European legislation and our contract partners' guidelines. All material waste is registered and accounted for to avoid unauthorized re-entry in the markets.

In cooperation with our waste disposal partner we also offer services for product refurbishing and recycling on a high technical level. Recycling encompasses product disassembly, product refurbishing, module, component and material recovery.

Data Management Systems

Today's managerial control depends to a very large extent on up-to-date, accurate and easily accessible data. The variety of data management systems within companies being part of a service chain poses a big challenge in interfacing these systems to generate a single, transparent information level to all companies involved. E-Care has been able in joint, approaches with contract partners and preferred logistics service providers, to develop such information levels yielding full track & tracing, logistics performance reports, technical repair performance reports, financial reports, statistical analysis reports. Most of the data management systems are ERP, SQL based and accessible through the internet.
